FURTHER KYOCERA SOLAR MODULE UPGRADES The
125W
module is being discontinued and replaced with a 130W solar panel, model no KC130GT-1.
The new KC85T-1 module is now rated at 87W. Similarly the KC40T-1, KC50T-1 and
KC65T-1 are now rated at 43W, 54W and 65W respectively. The physical dimensions on the new
modules are the same as the old models. ( 10/06)
KYOCERA SOLAR MODULE UPGRADE The 120W
module is being discontinued and replaced with a 125W solar panel, model no
KC125G-1. This solar module uses the new "deep-blue" cells, resulting
in better efficiency and hence higher output. The physical dimensions on the new
module are the same as the old model. Upgrades to other solar panels in the KC
range will follow in due course. ( 11/05)
TRACKERS The ETATRACK 400 has recently
been introduced in addition to the larger ETATRACK 1000 and 1500 . These are
active trackers, and can substantially increase energy yield from the solar
array. In solar pumping systems for example up to 40% more water can be

SOLAR MODULES DISCONTINUED We will be
discontinuing the Phoenix thinfilm and Ecosol thinfilm solar modules in due
course, and are offering left-over stock at good pricing. (05/05)
NEW FROM LORENTZ The power range of the
Lorentz solar pumps has been extended with the introduction of a 1200W motor and
controller. Called the PS1200, up to 125000l/day (@ 10m lift) and up to 4000
l/day (@ 230m lift) are now possible. For a preliminary chart click

SOLAR STREET LIGHTING FOR REMOTE VILLAGE
KG Electric has won an order for the supply of 12 solar powered street lights
for a small remote rural village in the Northern Cape area, SA. A 50W Kyocera
solar module and a 100Ah SEC gel battery will be used in the systems. These will
be mounted at the top of 6m wood pole to be supplied for each light All
components will be located near the top of a 6m wood pole (11/02)

GRID-CONNECTED SYSTEM INSTALLED One
of the first grid-connected systems in South Africa has been installed by KG Electric
at the Galeshewe Eco-Village in Kimberley. The 1100Wp system can supply 5-6
kW-hrs of electricity per day which contributes to the needs of the Eco-village
building and / or feeds back into the electricity mains, depending on demand.
Two electricity meters have been installed; one to record the electricity fed
into the grid, and another one to record the electricity consumption of the
Eco-Village building. (01/02)
